From July 18 to July 31, 2025, Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj, President of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Institute of Values, Gurugram, India, visited the Centre and its various Sub-Centres and Satsang groups.

 

His visit began with a Welcome Satsang on July 19 at the Durban Centre, where Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj delivered a keynote address on Sri Ramakrishna. This was followed by bhajans rendered by Revered Swami Swatmaramanandaji (President of the Ramakrishna Centre of S.A).

 

During his two-week stay in South Africa, Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj, accompanied by Swami Swatmaramanandaji, embarked on a comprehensive tour of the local spiritual community.

  • Revered Maharaj attended Satsangs and delivered discourses at the Etete Satsang Group, Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre in Cape Town, Chatsworth Sub-Centre, Sri Sarada Devi Ashram, and Johannesburg Sub-Centre. He also led a spiritual retreat at the Ladysmith Sub-Centre and visited the Pietermaritzburg Sub-Centre, Dundee Sub-Centre, Newcastle Sub-Centre, and Estcourt Satsang group.
  • Revered Maharaj delivered two significant public addresses. On July 24, he spoke on “The importance of Scriptural Value-based Education for Children” at the Tongaat Hindu Unity Forum’s Annual Swami Vivekananda Memorial Lecture. Two days later, on July 26, he delivered a talk on “The Universal Temple of Sri Ramakrishna” to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the temple’s consecration.

Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj concluded his visit on July 31, departing for the Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre in Lusaka, Zambia.
