A National Women’s Day Celebration was held on 9 August 2026 from 10:00 to 12:30 in the Swami Nischalananda Hall at The Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Glen Anil, Durban. The programme included a special Women’s Day message and spiritual discourse delivered by Revered Swami Swatmaramanandandji Maharaj. Other items included a talk by Dr Meera Patel and a Sitar and Violin performance by Ms Shruthi Teeluk, which added a devotional atmosphere to the morning. A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the Sister Nivedita Award to Mrs Gonum Gopichund in recognition of her service. To honour the mothers present, Women’s Day Gift Boxes were distributed. The celebration concluded with Lunch Prasad served to all attendees. The Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa thanks everyone who joined in attending this occasion and acknowledging the contribution of women in the community.
