Youth‑Led Satsang Initiative

As part of the Birth Anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda, a youth member of the Functions Committee initiated and led a special youth‑driven satsang.

The vision behind this initiative is simple yet meaningful: to give young devotees the opportunity to take full responsibility for the various aspects of the satsang. This included instrumental accompaniment, devotional singing, delivering short talks, serving as MCs, making announcements, and managing programme‑related duties.

The intention is to create a platform that offers practical exposure, builds confidence, encourages greater youth participation, and supports long‑term succession planning within the Centre.

The first youth‑led satsang was held on Saturday, 17 January 2026, in the week following the Birth Anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda. The programme was presented in collaboration with youth devotees from the Durban Centre, the Chatsworth Sub‑Centre, and the Etete Satsang Group. Members of Master’s Instruments and the Functions Committee provided guidance and support to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
